Consortium Membership: $250 due January 1, 2027.
Consortium Delivery: First Draft to soloist and consortium lead – January 5, 2027. Final Draft due to soloist and consortium lead – February 1, 2027. Consortium Member Delivery – May 1, 2027. Benefits of Consortium Membership: All participating members of the consortium will receive the following - Performance exclusivity for one year upon delivery. Electronic copy of score (.pdf) and one full set of parts (.pdf) from the composer. A piano reduction will be made available no later than one year following completion.Recognition of consortium membership in the score and on the website of composer Erin Keeton-Howard. Collaboration with Erin Keeton-Howard and Cassandra McDonald on the realization of the work, remotely or in-person, can be negotiated directly with the artists. Title: Soul Studies
Piece Description: The piece will be 4 solo movements with one movement to be written at the level of an average high school trumpeter. The piece will be written collaboratively between composer Erin Keeton-Howard and trumpeter Cassandra McDonald. Proposed Length: 4 movements. Intended Grade Level: Grade 4, accessible by high school and collegiate ensembles with a minimum of one movement to be accessible by an average high school trumpet soloist.
